Based on a real homicide, TO FORGIVE A KILLER focuses on redemption and restorative justice.

This film shows how the death penalty can cause family and community disruption and illustrates the power of forgiveness to heal. It brings a new dimension to the issue of capital punishment, counteracting the common urge for vengeance and the brutality of executions.

We want as many people in the as possible to experience it.  Although shooting has been mostly completed, we need additional funding for post-production, advertising, and outreach. Help us make the film available at no cost to churches, civic groups, and educational institutions across the USA.

• Public opinion on the death penalty is shifting: 21 states now have repealed the death penalty and 4 states have a death penalty moratorium. Additionally, there is a sharp decline in the number of executions.

• The USA is the only western democracy that executes its citizens.

•  The USA remained the only country in the Western Hemisphere to carry out executions.
